Peter Marles has been a partner with MRH
since 1999, but has previously practised as a partner with another
Bundaberg law firm for 15 years.
He completed his Bachelor of Laws at Queensland University of
Technology in 1982. He was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme
Court of Queensland in 1983, and Peter is already a Solicitor of the
High Court of Australia and a Member of the Queensland Environmental
Law Association Inc.
For more than 20 years, he has been the principal legal advisor
to one of the region's Shire Councils, advising on a broad range of
matters, including town planning litigation, infrastructure
projects, local laws and a range of environmental and enforcement
matters.
Peter also acts for a number of the region's most active property
developers, for residential, commercial and retirement village
developments.
Rural clients are also an important part of his practice. Advice
is provided on a wide range of matters including property
acquisitions and sales, resumptions and succession planning. Peter
also has extensive experience in commercial leasing and has acted
for a number of the region's largest commercial landlords.
Peter has a reputation for a no-nonsense approach and getting the
job done with minimum of fuss. He is Honorary Solicitor to a number
of local community organisations and has previously served as
president of the YMCA Bundaberg and vice-president to both the
Bundaberg Show Society and the Musgrave Pony Club. He is heavily
involved in equestrian sports.
